CIRCULEC Project featured in EU-Uzbekistan Partnership Festival

On May 18th, 2024, the 30th anniversary of the EU-Uzbekistan Partnership Festival took place at the Botanical Garden of Uzbekistan. Dr. Sardor Azam from Central Asian University (CAU) and Mr. Alisher Pulatov from Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) proudly represented the CirculEC project in the festival.

The CirculEC project focuses on adopting best practices from leading EU universities to introduce innovative courses on circular economy and sustainable development at the Bachelor's, Master's, and professional education levels in participating Central Asian higher education institutions (HEIs). The primary goal of the project is to arm faculty, students, and the wider community with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the sustainability demands of local labor markets and tackle the environmental challenges in Central Asia.

The festival drew significant attention from ambassadors and diplomats from EU countries, international organization representatives, and the general public. The CirculEC project attracted substantial interest, with many eager to learn more about its objectives and impact. Additionally, the festival provided an excellent platform for promoting the Bachelor's, Master's, and lifelong education programs at CAU and WIUT, highlighting how these institutions incorporate international best practices into their curricula.

This event not only showcased the CirculEC project's potential to foster sustainable development in Central Asia but also underscored the collaborative spirit between EU and local HEIs.
